drygreen took over an old well-established drycleaner, Nelson’s Drycleaning, in July 2010.

We removed the old toxic equipment and completely renovated the store using ecofriendly products for the fitout.

This included:

- low VOC paint

- refurbishing equipment where possible rather than replacing it.

- replacing electrical fittings with the most efficient ones available.

- replacing piping and ensuring all steam piping was efficient and effective.

The old Perc (petrochemical based) drycleaning machine was removed immediately on taking over and replaced with a brand new GreenEarth (silicone) machine.

The old washing machine and dryer were also replaced with water and detergent-saving state of the art models for far superior results with less impact on the environment.

As time progresses we will continue to introduce innovations which increase our sustainability and reduce our impact on the planet…stay tuned….
